Series of discussion events: “Musical life in balance”, Statens Musikverk (2012-2013)

In 2011-2012, Statens Musikverk (Music Development and Heritage Sweden) organised a series of six discussion events and a conference relating to the equality assignment that this state authority oversees (2011-2014).  Topics that were covered included control over music, gender roles in education and the organisers’ responsibilities. The series of discussion events ended with a packed two-day conference in Stockholm in May 2012. I chaired four of the discussion events:

Part 2. Kulturhuset in Stockholm, Sound of Stockholm, 18 October 2011. Introduction: Vanja Hermele. Chair: Ulrika Lind. In the panel: Magnus Bunnskog , Vanja Hermele , Jonas Forsell , Lise-Lotte Norelius, Paula af Malmborg Ward and Maria Horn.

Part 3. Umeå Jazz Festival, 19 October 2011. Introduction: Vanja Hermele. Chair: Ulrika Lind. In the panel: Lindha Kallerdahl , Lina Nyberg, Emil Strandberg, Lennart Strömbäck, Michala Østergaard -Nielsen and Vanja Hermele .

Part 5. The Midwinter Festival in Piteå, 23 February 2012. Chair: Ulrika Lind. Introduction: Vanja Hermele. In the panel: Louise Nordgren, Kristina B Nilsson, Erik Westberg, Roger Norén, Fredrika Johansson and Vanja Hermele.

Part 6. Open Folk, Malmö, 30 March 2012. Chair: Ulrika Lind. Featuring: Vanja Hermele, Jonas Simonsson, Moa Danielsson, Petter Wickman, Björn Ståbi and Stina Westerberg.
