Consultant: Conference on The Arts and Digitilization / STRING Network (2017)

In autumn, Musik in Syd, commissioned by Region Skåne and STRING Network, organizes a conference aimed at linking culture and creative industries together for increased collaboration and knowledge exchange in the STRING region:

Denmark, Southern Sweden and Germany are all able to gain a lot if the political, economic and cultural boundaries between the city regions of Copenhagen / Öresund and Hamburg can be strengthened. (String)

I am engaged as a consultant in the process of using the experiences of cultural digitilization so far in Region Skåne, including initiatives within Region Skåne’s Developer-in-Residence support program, and finding the right program setting. The program will address these issues:

What does digitalisation actually mean, and why should we pursue it?
How can cultural stakeholders utilise digital capacities?
Is digital development leading to the generation of new business models, strategies, behaviours and approaches to work?
Which tools and game rules are needed to facilitate interaction between the arts and the digital sector?
In what ways does artistic content constitute an exciting resource for the digital sector?
How can the arts and creative industries interact?
