International opportunity for young musicians

On 14-15 May I am in the jury for IMAGINE Sweden Riksfinal in Kristianstad where young musicians – winners in their respective regions – are competing for prizes that may lead to a professional path. Famous Swedish artists like Malena Ernman, Laleh, Jose Gonzalez and Amanda Jenssen have all begun their careers through this contest that is also part of an international context – Jeunesses Musicales International.

First prize at Imagine Sweden Riksfinal is to represent Sweden in the competition’s international part – Imagine Festival in December 2016 in Croatia – with the opportunity to win an international tour. No. 2 and 3 get to play at the finals in Zagreb and Brussels. The jury also gives out a number of national live prices like gigs at Swedish summer festivals.
