Musik i Syd CHANNEL – Release on March 17

The mission of Musik i Syd as a regional music institution is to promote a rich, active and varied music life in the southern parts of Sweden. As music producer and arranger, Musik i Syd plays a coordinating role and makes a strong contribution to the stimulation and development of music life for both children and adults. Musik i Syd also works as a partner in – and often the initiator of – a number of projects and festivals in the region, including Denmark and the Oresund region. In addition to public concerts and projects, Musik i Syd arranges many concerts at daycares, schools, hospitals and residential care homes. In 2014, Musik i Syd arranged more than 2 500 concerts in close collaboration with local arrangers.

On March 17 2015 Musik i Syd opens a new window for concerts, portraits and stories to share with the public. Besides making concerts more accessible among those who cannot make it to the venues, Musik i Syd CHANNEL is also a tool for promoting all the fantastic freelance musicians and composers involved in the activities at Musik i Syd, as well as increasing the visibility of creative processes, for example among young people.
