Quality officer/Project support: Cultural rendezvous in the health and care environment, national development work 2014-2016, Piteå municipality, Sweden (2014)
In January 2014, Digital Live Arena (DLA) at Studio Acusticum in Piteå started broadcasting concerts to hospitals and nursing homes. The development work is at a national level and is being initiated in the Norrbotten region of Sweden, and is being carried out in order to create new cultural venues for the elderly and sick and their families, to develop channels for the distribution of digital culture to the target audience and, by means of training, to create mutual understanding between the culture and health care sectors.
The aim is that, by the end of the project, the importance of providing a high quality range of contemporary art and cultural expression for the target group will have been highlighted, workable models for providing such a range will have been developed, good cooperation will have been established and increased knowledge will have been provided.
I have been appointed the project’s quality officer by Studio Acusticum/Piteå Municipality and I also provide project support to the development work, which is being carried out together with Norrbotten County Council and the Betania Foundation, with funding from the Swedish Arts Council. See also Digital Live Arena (DLA).
“Cultural rendezvous in the health and care environment” to be presented in Almedalen, Sweden, 3 July 2014.
