Moderator: “We’re only in it for the money – the status of jazz musicians today?”

Based on the situation in the Swedish Jazz Federation: the role of musicians is becoming increasingly diverse. The boundaries between being event organiser/producer/marketer and musician are no longer distinctly defined. Since Swedish Jazz adopted its new bylaws at last year’s Jazz Parliament, membership is no longer restricted only to non-profit organisations. And we have had an influx of different types of member as a result. So how much has changed really? In this panel discussion, some of our new members talk about their life as musicians and more. Are returns measured simply in kronor or are there other values​​ that are important?
