“CONCERT FOR LIFE”, Saturday, 1 February in Mariehamn, Åland (Finland)
On Saturday, 1 February, I will be the compere when Mariehamn’s Youth Orchestra organises a charity concert to benefit the Åland Cancer Society at the Alandica Culture & Congress Centre in Mariehamn, Åland. The Åland Cancer Society provides a meeting place for cancer patients, family members, relatives and others who wish to support the efforts to improve the social well-being of cancer patients and their relatives.
Music for brass ensembles is the main focus of the concert programme. Freelance musicians from Åland and various parts of Sweden will form an ensemble led by Per Lyng. The initiative for the event was taken by trumpeter Åke Hillar.
