Co-creation – Audience – Performers: Who are the major players in the digitilasation of performing arts? Discussion on 10 April at the Palladium in Malmö!
10 April 9.30 am – 2.30 pm at the Palladium, Södergatan 15 in Malmö
AVAILABILITY AND ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT
– SAME, SAME BUT DIFFERENT?
A day focusing on digital solutions relating to performing arts and interaction with the public.
(Detailed programme content to be sent out in early March)
Organiser: Musik i Syd together with the Musikalsk Oplevelsedesign (Musical Experience Design) project and Region Skåne
Two major development projects relating to music and digitalisation are currently ongoing in Skåne – Digitala scener (Digital Venues) run by Musik i Syd and Musikalsk Oplevelsesdesign (Musical Experience Design) run by the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Royal Theatre, Copenhagen Phil and the Danish Design School. Based on these projects, and incorporating knowledge and experience from other performing arts institutions in Skåne in Sweden, we want to highlight and discuss the challenges and issues that have arisen in the digitisation processes and link them to regional strategies for digital culture.
You are welcome to partake in informative and inspiring presentations and discussions. Attendance is free of charge. We will serve lunch and coffee.
We look forward to seeing you!

A note about the programme content:
We especially want to look at issues relating to cooperation in this sector, performer perspectives and public co-creation processes
SECTOR – performing arts cluster. Who should be involved in order to achieve qualitative results? How do we find forms of cooperation that work in the area of creative overlap between designers, programmers, artists, web portals and cultural institutions? How can we connect regional strategies with specific activities and other efforts?
PERFORMING ARTISTS – artistic direction, technicians. How do we work with a performer perspective with regard to the digitisation of performing arts? How do we balance experiments and actual productions within the existing budget? How flexible are we in such a new landscape and how do we ensure quality with regard to the new approach?
CO-CREATION – participation. What experiences have already been acquired with regard to audience participation in Skåne? Do digital co-creation processes exist with regard to public interaction and with regard to children and young people’s contact with the professional music scene? What could this type of co-creation involve and how can we achieve it?
Topics and issues will be specified with regard to already implemented or planned activities and will be outlined in presentations. They will also be framed in a larger perspective in order to stimulate development discussions.
Participants will include Gitte Grönfeldt Wille, Head of Culture at Region Skåne, Uffe Savery, Director of Music at Copenhagen Phil and representatives of Medea / Malmö University, Media Evolution, Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Development for children and youngsters Musik i Syd, Strobemedia and others.
